Some thoughts on the 2011 sets:

– I honestly feel quite disappointed that the rumoured girls theme is not available.  Having seen the trade catalogue, I can verify that it’s not in the pages that were not scanned.  Any chance of a Winter release? 😦

– But it looks to be another good year, especially for Star Wars fans (loads of new minifigs and reproduced OT sets) and Harry Potter fans (3 more sets, yippee!).

Creator is starting to look interesting too, the Lighthouse Island looks really good and it seems to be a trend that Creator sets now come with minifigs, blurring the line between Creator & City.

– Those who want to renact minifig abduction fantasies can now do so with the new Alien Conquest theme.  Again, is it meant to draw City fans into this theme?

– I wasn’t thrilled with the little Blacksmith set in Kingdoms, but there is another Blacksmith in the NinjaGo theme that looks better.  Interesting that so many of the NinjaGo theme sets are for limited time release – I’m guessing TLG thinks that limited releases helps to sell sets?

wow — you must really *hate* LEGO to promote preliminary pics — which MEGABLOKS can see also

    • amodularlife says:

Don’t be ridiculous. The pics are from trade catalogues out in ALL toy stores. If megabloks wanted better intel, there are way better means like getting someone from the publishers, factories or inside TLG. Making new designs and molds take time so any serious industrial espionage would have taken place way before we ever lay eyes on the catalogues.

I never believed the crap about leaked catalogues for AFOLs helping megabloks cos I’m sure they have far better contacts in the toy industry to get the info BEFORE AFOLs do. Get your facts right and don’t be a coward by leaving anonymous comments. Next time I’ll just delete them.

Who ever you are – have you actually even been on this site before? Clearly you never bothered to read any of the articles – information or very detailed advice designed with one purpose in mind…the promotion of Lego for the benefit of all.

You might not have been big enough to put your name to your thoroughly ridiculous Post – but just maybe you are big enough to recognise your mistake and post an apology.

Anonymous will do – it’s the thought that counts!

      Paul.

I second that motion from exile! This site has indeed help me a lot in rekindling my childhood Lego craze I visit this site almost every day unless I’m traveling. Don’t bother about such comments amodularlife =)

  2. i am drooling over the Creator and Technic new sets to be released… but can’t seems to a look at the pitcures… only descriptions…

is there any available link to preview the sets?
(btw, benefited a lot from your wonderful blog)

    • amodularlife says:

Sorry, if the pics are yanked from the links I provided then I’ve no idea where else you can see the watermarked pics. Typically leaked pics will be yanked within 1 week from the time they are released, so you have to be fast to see them. If not better quality pics should surface soon enough (as they always so, so not to worry). 🙂
