Some research on the new 10212 Imperial Shuttle

I was curious about Dmac who was credited in the official TLG video as being a source of inspiration/design for the new UCS Imperial Shuttle (10212).  So here’s what I found…

(Apart from him being a very talented AFOL, obviously)

His design, and brickshelf link:

His statement on Eurobricks forum about his MOC being used by TLG as reference: Link to Eurobricks

And finally, some info on the shuttle from the SW series: Link to wiki

Star Wars UCS Imperial Shuttle 10212

Lego fan sites and forums are all abuzz about the SW UCS Imperial Shuttle 10212 & I decided to join in the buzz…

Video of interview with the set designer first, followed by TLG’s official set description and then the pics (cos there are a lot of pics!).  Wonder how much it’ll cost when it arrives in Singapore? I’m guessing S$499?  Or we could get lucky and it’ll be S$399.  At S$399 it’ll fly off local shelves and at S$499… actually, given how hardcore SW fans are, it’s hard to predict. 😛

Do refer to my next post for more info on this set (background on AFOL who helped with the set design and actual SW ship pics).

USA Discounts on SW and Toy Story 3 Sets

Sigh, I wished I started collecting Lego when I was in the USA… apart from not having one or two advent calendars, I think the USA is the best place to be for an AFOL. Prices are cheap, they have Legoshop.com, prices are cheap, they have Lego stores that have pick-a-brick, prices are cheap, they get sets ahead of other countries, prices are cheap… you get the idea…
