10222 Winter Village Post Office

I really like the winter theme, and everytime I see the latest release I feel so glad I got the winter train a few years back.  🙂

For more pics, do head on over to any of the major sites referenced on the left menu bar.

10222 Winter Village Post Office

Ages 12+. 820 pieces.

US $59.99 | CA $79.99 | DE €59.99 | UK £49.99

Continuing the winter scene series, the Winter Village Post Office is the perfect snow-covered setting. In the cozy post office, the worker is hard at work sorting all the mail into containers and sacks, while upstairs, there’s just time for the postman to take a break before setting off in the traditional post car with all the letters and gifts. From the pavilion outside, musicians fill the air with music, while children take in the wintry atmosphere by the park bench before throwing snowballs at each other – the musicians had better get ready to duck!

  • Includes 7 minifigures: female post office worker, male postman, female, 2 kids and 2 musicians and a dog!
  • Post office features dark-green split roof with snow, fireplace, light brick, table, coffee mug, and lamppost and mailboxes outside!
  • Also features evergreen tree and assorted minifigure accessories

New exclusive and architecture series sets

I wasn’t too excited about the news… but then in case you are, here’s what Grogall shared in EB about 2 new exclusives and 2 new architecture series sets:

just received a list from list from a friend who works at TRU

and there are two more exclusive sets listed

Price and availability are unknown at the moment!

10220 VW Van item ID 4593087
10222 Seasonal Set ID 4593092

So 10221 is still open?

21008 Burj Khalifa-Dubai ID 4642302
21010 Farnsworth House ID 4642305

The list can be loaded from here!

The seasonal item is probably a follow-up to the winter theme… no surprise there.  VW Van is new tho.  As for the architecture sets… I’m kinda losing interest in the series…

You can read more from this EB thread.

Gallery of Hi-Res 2011 Set Pictures

Below are a few examples from each theme.  If you thought the Toy Fair 2011 pics look good, then of course these hi-res official photos look wayyyy better.

There is also a hint of more pics to come with this statement from Gizmodo: “There are a couple more secret models, but we will show those to you at a later date“.

Hmm… I hope they don’t mean the Cars 2 range or the Spongebob sets that were not included in gallery…

You can get the full range of 2011 hi-res pics from Gizmodo’s write-up here.   Anyway for your convenience these link directly to the respective galleries:

Stuff I’ve Been Reading & Tweaks to the Blog

A bit of lull now that most of the 2011 sets are known… what’s left?  There’s the rumoured 2011 modular building that we are all waiting for of course (which I’ve heard would be 10218 Pet Shop), and the TRU exclusives, 2011 winter theme set, 2011 large scale set (would it be the Sydney Opera House?), some of the Cars sets, and… hmm… would there be a Star Wars UCS set as well?  In any case, my wallet is going to sustain heavy damage in the next few months….

So just some bits of stuff I’ve read today which you may find interesting:

I’ve also made some tweaks to the blog… some new links to blogs I read on the right, and the biggest change is the Flickr feed… I’ve changed it to the MOCs I like on Flickr instead (the link to Flickr’s LEGO group can now be found under ‘communities’).

One last thing, I was just thinking about whether I am supposed to respond to all comments, and/or how timely I am supposed to respond, etc when I saw this post on comment etiquette by the WordPress team.  Hmm, doesn’t actually answer my question, so my decision is… to procrastinate till I’m in a good mood… which may take a while with all the work stress, but I think I will get there, eventually. 😛

Do visit ï»żï»żï»żï»żï»żFBTB’s Flickr photostream to see the pics.

And Happy Valentines Day everyone. 🙂

2011 City & Alien Conquest Set Pics from NY Toy Fair

UPDATE: One last update before I collapse to bed… you can find some pics of the Technic sets from Toy News International as well as many many others.

**************************************************

I said I’ll stop looking but I really can’t help myself… (like I said before, I’m a curious gal…). 😛

Hey, if you hate spoilers, then stop reading right now k?  Why? Cos I’m going to feature pics of the 2011 City Advent Calendar that’s why. 😉

It looks to feature (yet more) police themed figs and stuff so it’s quite meh to me… but anyway here are the expected contents:

And the link to the City advent calendar box art that is marked with the confidential stamp: LINK to The Pop Culture

Here’s also the link to the Harbour set with green ship: LINK to The Pop Culture

I’m also liking what I see of the Alien Conquest sets, but I’m really too tired to post all of them… click here and here to see more k?
